When It's not Broken, Just Tune it Up

The Fourth of July, 34 years later and I am more in love with you than ever before. Of course we have had our ups and downs those moments blinded by emotions of the moment, but we have learned to put everything into perspective. We know that what we have has been real and lasting. We simple have to stay focused and at times do the little things that may seem irrelevant to one but important to the other.

To often personal gratification clouds judgement and vision so that we both can't see what the other needs at that moment. Then the events of life always throws that monkey wrench into the best laid out plans and adjustments and a different plan of action needs to take place. We always seem to get through it and in doing so we find ways to love each other more.

Sweetheart, Happy 34th Anniversary, It's definitely not Broken and those little tune up will keep us going till we both run out of gas.

The Character in a Life

Today is your first mother's day without your mother and you've experienced an emotional roller coaster ride. Outside influences brought you back to being a little girl seeking a mothers love and approval but never being granted it. Your left in wonder as to why.

As your mind relives your youth, you have come to the understanding that your mother was incapable when it came to matters of a daughters love and needs. Your denial formed the resolve that this would never be with your daughter. You have given of yourself to her in every way possible and then some.

Jaclyn knows that her mother loves her, respects her and that their is no one more important in her mother's life than her daughter.

The Character in a Life is how someone handles themselves, what they do with what they are given and what they are denied. Sweetheart , you were denied a lot and you have shed many tears, but your life has been given love and understanding that many people would envy.

So on this mother's day smile,  You know that your mother has found piece and that you have your family's love.

A Place in Heaven

Today is your birthday, but you woke to another day of duties that consume your time so that this becomes just another day. Though I didn't forget and I wished you a " Happy Birthday " however, the thought that stuck with me all day was that comment made to you that unless you except Christ at the time of death you cannot enter heaven.

The way someone lives their life on an ongoing basis is just as important as asking for forgiveness at the last minute. Sweetheart you have and continue to live a life that will forever be in heaven. You have shown that you will do what you have to even though you may not like it. This morning proved that to me when I helped Kenny out of the bathroom. Your nose would not tolerated that and yet you continue to do it.

Though the above is not the typical birthday but what is in your heart is. Tonight we will have an enjoyable dinner with Jaclyn and Garrick and we will laugh at all the crazy and at times unpleasant things that life has thrown our way.
